Costa Rica

Postby illescasd » Fri, Aug 07 2015, 09:43 AM

Hi everyone,

Last week, I added Costa Rica (Playa Conchal, Pacific side) on my "Where I've flown list". Sadly, the "world famous adventure dog" did not take this picture. Next up are the beaches of Ecuador

I've been to that very beach! It was before I flew kites, so I swam and snorkeled instead. In Feb 2008 my wife and I stayed for a week at a friend's condo a few miles north of there in Playa Flamingo. In Brasalito, the little town adjacent to Playa Conchal, we spent a very interesting evening at a packed-out local street fair which featured bull riding in a makeshift corral in the central square, where the soccer field usually is. Wild and crazy, very fun.
Costa Rica is beautiful in every way. We went there again in 2011, to Manuel Antonio Park, stayed in a little town called Matapalo, did a lot of jungle walking.
