Saturday was a great day. I am glad Hunter and I could make it up. I had more fun at this fly than the majority of the festivals I have been to (not saying much i have only been to three festivals). As usual everyone was super nice, truly a family.
Mike S. made Hunter's day. Not only did he spend Saturday showing off his new kite, but he spent a good part of Sunday telling people all about it. "A real kite flyer gave me HIS kite!!" Mike S. also made my day letting his 5 meter have a go at me. At the end I think it was a draw as to who won. I walked away and it got stuffed in a bag.
I got to see a second Black Rainbow, so all we need to do is get Jynx down for a club fly so we could get three in the air. I also got see a "Thank You Book" to Paul from a school he put on a kite art show at. It was neat to see all the pictures the kids gave him and their kind words. I can only imagine the positive impact Paul had on all the kids that saw the display, for kids to actually get to "touch" the art probably left a permanent impact on their lives. It made art real to them instead of something boring that they can only look at from 5 feet away.
All in all a great way to spend the day, I look forward to the next club fly, that park was great!
