When I was in Ft. Lauderdale last year there was a VERY LARGE boat the was docked near the hotel, and it had this small kite attached to a pole by 2 or 3 feet of string, much like a windsock. I think it looked like a bat (or maybe a dragon) and was black/blue if I recall correctly. My question is, what's the right name for these?
I've tried a variety of searches on google and I can't find anything similar. The closest I seem to find is something from a company called Jackite which makes realistic bird kites. While they look really cool, they're apparently designed to keep other birds/pests aways... not what I'm looking for. :)
What kind of kite?
Re: What kind of kite?
kite or windsock most likely. Hard to come up with anything else without being able to see it.

Yeah, I find it hard to believe I haven't found anything similar, really. It didn't look like anything custom or home made, but who knows it was attached to what was probay an 80 foot super yacht.

Doesn't look quite right ... The more I think about it I wonder if it was for sea gull abatement more then entertainment value. It definitely wasn't one of those realistic Jackite ones though...
