Hi everyone,
This morning the wind gods were smiling, and the branches dancing, so I went to the airfield. As usual, I had a blast and my slides are getting better (finally). I found something on the other side of the spectrum... Microkites. I got this micro dragonfly, and it really flies,,, like a dragonfly. I had alot of fun with this little guy.
See everyone soon,
David

Nice! Plus you can really shrink your flying field requirements down with a kite that size. Now I'll have to make some micro stakes for the micro kites!

Re: Dragonfly Micro Kite
I'm guessing the tail has to be that long for it to fly stably, right?
Is it or can it be made from 3 pieces of clear plastic as it appears?
I've been fantasizing about making a dragonfly with wings that rotate
along their long axes. If made of clear plastic they may resemble the
blurred wings of an actual dragonfly in flight.

That thing is cool. If I am not mistaken Donna H. made a micro kite using a real pair of butterfly wings. I think she won a category at convention last year.
