Wind Map

Postby Mamagotcha » Tue, Apr 03 2012, 06:39 PM

I wasn't sure what forum this should go into, so I'll pop it here and hope someone will see it:

U.S. Wind Map (live!)

I found it very beautiful. Enjoy!

Place the cursor over the spot where your city is located and left click the mouse a few times. You might have to drag the picture to center the area you're trying to zoom. Peoria shows up, but sorry, Charleston doesn't. Still can't figure out how to back out ... short of re-clicking on the bookmark.

Cheers,
Tom

I had the same problem, Jeepster. Took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out, but let me save you the trouble: On the far left, about midpage, there's a little "unzoom" button.

That's pretty interesting. For Charleston, you can just use 39.48536, -88.15853. Which is the near the Walmart parking lot where I fly :)
