KU GlobalAid was established in 2010 and has grown rapidly in a short period of time. Over a couple of years, the KU GlobalAid team has conducted projects in Tunisia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Erzincan, Türkiye. Later, it led social impact projects in India in 2015, in Zimbabwe in the summer of 2016 and finally Brazil in the summer of 2018. While all projects vary in aim at the local level, they have the common goal of contributing to the development and growth of communities which need support.
Projects of Ku Global Aid are not run only globally and international, but also in the domestic level. Besides the upcoming global summer project, Ku Global Aid will have been continuing domestic project named “Anlaş, Kaynaş, Beraber Paylaş!” in Uzun Yusuf Ortaokulu, Fatih, İstanbul. The project aims to integrate Syrian refugee children to social and educational life and obstacle bias of Turkish students on Syrian peers.
KU GlobalAid has been serving while learning since its foundation. And now, we want to get bigger with new members and hopefully, achieve more.

Koç University Information Technology Directorate will be hiring aWordPress Content Operation Specialist (REMOTE) with the below-mentioned qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 2+ years of experience in web editing & content marketing
- Experience using WordPress
- Experience creating digital media graphics
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Excellent organizational, listening, time management and troubleshooting skills
- Self-starter, creative thinker with a personal sense of ownership of quality work
- Proficiency in Google Docs and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
- Photoshop / Lightroom / Adobe Illustrator is a plus
- Graphic design skills are a plus
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Updating, editing, and curating content on all corporate university websites
- Contributing to the University’s efforts to continually enhance website content, design, usability, and navigation
- Establishing and maintaining web standards, and employing best practices in web
- Elevating standards and compliance with University best practices using tools such as Monsido, Yoast SEO, etc.
- Creating a timely content production calendar outlining drafts of content updates based on SEO best practices and content performance
- Working closely with marketing and SEO teams to improve website rankings
- Embedding web forms to university websites
- Working directly with other departments on content assets (images, content editing, all kinds of web requests) and coordinating the production and optimization of content
