PTC heater diye geçiyor. Benim aracımda geçen gün bununla ilgili bir arıza kodu aldım. Henüz silip takip etmeye başlamadım ama daha önce başka forumlarda bu PTC ısıtıcının bir şekilde açık kalması yüzünden akünün boşaldığı ile ilgili bir yazı görmüştüm. A'e kadar elektrik çekebilen bir parça.

How PTC heater ( kW, approx. 90A) work in Volvo V70 D3 I observed how alternator current rises significantly to over A in Car Scanner app (Alternator current A is shown only in 5-cylinder Volvos with BMS) I used Car Scanner ELM OBD2 for Android and iOS Volvo diesel cars - if not equipped with fuel heater (webasto/eberspracher) - often have electric PTC heater, which heats up air to passenger cabin when ambient temperature is below 15°C. This is automatic during first minutes after engine start and full PTC power is only for minutes in my car. A/C AUTO setting is very slow in getting warm air to the cabin. Best setting to start PTC heater: heating set to high temperature (°C or HOT), airflow to cabin or/and windshield, ventillation medium speed ( bars) - after 30 seconds you feel warm air from air vents. Air to cabin/windshield vents is warmer than floor vents when PTC heater is on. I use manual settings: - heating temperature HOT - airflow fan medium ( bars) - airflow to front vents - AC on or off, no difference PTC heater is automatic, you cannot turn it ON or OFF manually When PTC heater is active in Volvo? - ambient temperature below 15°C - cold engine, low coolant temperature, ventillation fan ON, high temperature setting (HOT is best) - alternator current rises over A (visible in cars equipped BMS, using Car Scanner or VIDA) - warm air blows from front air vents 1 minute after engine start PTC heater max output is kW ( W) = 85A current at V kW is not much, electric cars have 5 kW PTC heater. The PTC element (Positive Temperature Coefficient heater) is placed in the climate unit, air flows past the hot PTC element on its way into the passenger cabin. VIDA software in Diagnostics/Details contains information if car is equipped with PTC heater. The ceramic temperature is dependent on the heat output and the ambient temperature. With good thermal dissipation the temperature drops and with that the resistance. This results in an increase in power consumption and with that an increase in temperature. If a small amount of heat is emitted to the surroundings, the temperature of the ceramic rises and with that the resistance. Through this cycle the heating element is regulated with its own power consumption.
