Bildiğimiz anlamıyla “yeterli, yeteri kadar” anlamı verir. Kullanıldığı cümle yapısına göre aynı doğrultuda anlam katar. too’dan farklı olarak sıfat ve zarflarla kullanıldığında onlardan sonra gelir.

She is only seventeen. She isn’t old enough to marry. / Sadece 17 yaşında. Evlenmek için yeterince büyük değil.

adverb + enough

This horse can run fast enough. / Bu at yeterince hızlı koşabilir.
If you speak loudly enough, everybody can hear you. / Yeterince yüksek sesle konuşursan, herkes seni duyabilir.

enough + noun

There was enough food for about ten people. / Yaklaşık on kişi için yeteri kadar yiyecek var.
