Galata Bridge (Galata Köprüsü) passes over the waters of the Golden Horn Bay and connects the tourist areas of Sultanahmet and Beyoglu. The upper level of the Galata Bridge is a road with wide sidewalks along the edges. This place immediately after the construction of the bridge was chosen by fishermen. They almost round the clock line up in rows along the railing, and pull small fish out of the water. There is no question of any serious catch here, they fish just for fun. By the way, fishing rods, tackle and bait are also sold or rented here, so if you miss fishing, you can also join them.
