Although the public beaches in Istanbul are some of the prettiest beaches in Istanbul, their facilities may not be as excellent as those on private beaches. In addition, public beaches in Istanbul may get overcrowded during summer weekends.
1. Caddebostan Beach
On the Asian side of Istanbul and close to Central Istanbul, this location contains three beaches. Only one of them is public now. There is a rescue boat and ambulance. There&#;s also a line you&#;re not supposed to swim across to be visible to the lifeguard personnel. Fortunately, there are toilets, showers, and a changing cabinet.
It&#;s a nice, sandy beach that you&#;ll share with the local beachgoers. If you&#;re into sunbathing, there are sunbeds to chill in while you&#;re catching your tan.

Şile has a few beaches that are blue flag protected areas. This one faces the Black Sea coast and is considered the largest beach in Istanbul. Şile has at least 35 lifeguards and two ambulances. On the Asian side, it&#;s quite a distance from Istanbul City Center.

Bebek Parkı'nın hemen karşısındaki Cats&Dogs'u bütün İstanbullu hayvanseverler iyi bilir. Burası yaklaşık 10 ay önce el değiştirdi ve Catz olarak hizmet vermeye başladı. Mekânın kapıları kedi ve köpeklere açık. Dekorasyonu yenilenen mekânın balkonu yoktu; artık bir balkonu da var. Genç oyuncu Özgür Özberk'in dört ortakla birlikte açtığı Catz'in çok sayıda köpek sahibi müşterisi var. Altı masası olan bu küçük kafenin mönüsü de ilgi çekiyor. Özellikle patates çorbası, brokoli çorbası, anne patatesi (ev usulü kızarmış patates) çok seviliyor. Tabii evcil dostlar için de bir şeyler düşünülmüş. Mama ve su kaplarının bulunduğu mekânda su kapları her daim dolu. Mama kaplarını doldurmak ise köpeklerin sahiplerine kalmış. Cumartesi geceleri konsept partilerin yapıldığı Catz'de dizi oyuncularına rastlamak da mümkün. Örneğin Özge Özberk, kardeşinin sahibi olduğu bu mekâna kedisi Paşa'yla birlikte geliyor. Catz'e oy veren jüri üyelerimiz ise Biricik Suden, Esrin Keşci, Tamer Dodurka.

Burc Beach

Boğaziçi Üniversitesi'nin tesisi olan Burc Beach, İstanbul'un kuzey sahilindeki Gümüşdere'de yer alıyor. Özellikle yaz sezonunda daha aktif olan tesis, kış aylarında da köpeklerin ve sahiplerinin buluşma noktalarından biri olmaya devam ediyor. Kış aylarında eğlence imkânı olmasa da iki kilometrelik plajı keyifli bir ortam sunuyor. Jüri üyelerimizden Esra Çoruh, köpeği Scooby'nin Burc Beach'de diğer köpeklerle oynayabildiğini söylüyor: "Sahilde özgürce koşabiliyor. Bu nedenle Scooby için çok keyifli bir yer." Esra Şengülen Ünsür buranın yaz-kış köpekleriyle gidebildikleri mekânlardan olduğunu belirtiyor: "Köpeklerin uygar şekilde karşılandığı, onların haklarının unutulmadığı harika bir tesis." Secret Garden

Tarabya'daki Kalender Orduevi'nin üst tarafında yer alan Secret Garden, müdavimleri tarafından 'gizlenmiş bir cennet' olarak nitelendiriliyor. Yaklaşık iki buçuk yıldır Bebek'te hizmet veren Happily Ever After, kişilik küçük bir mekân. Yaz aylarında bahçesi de açılınca kapasitesi biraz daha genişliyor. Yola bakan kısmına köpekle birlikte gidilebiliyor. Özellikle kahvaltılarıyla ünlü bu kafe, hafta sonları köpekli müşterilerini ağırlıyor. Mönüsünde tost, salata çeşitleri, hotdog, hamburger, pancake ve çeşitli tatlıların yanı sıra çay ve kahve çeşitleri de var. Uzun zamandır Arnavutköy'de hizmet veren Bodrum Mantı Cafe, 24 saat açık mekânlardan. Sabaha kadar devam eden servisinde çiğ börek ve içli köftenin yanı sıra ana yemek olarak haşlanmış veya kızarmış mantı, çökertme, kaşarlı köfte, beğendili dürüm yer alıyor. İstanbul'un dört bir yanındaki parklar da köpek sahiplerinin en çok rağbet ettiği yerlerden. Maçka Parkı, Emirgan Parkı, Bebek Parkı'nın yanı sıra Belgrad Ormanları'nı tercih edenlerin sayısı da az değil. İstanbul'un en güzel parklarından olan Fenerbahçe Parkı, pek çok jüri üyemizin en sevdiği adresler arasında yer alıyor. Örneğin Esra Şengülen Ünsür bu parkta köpeklerin özgürce koşabileceği, birbirleriyle sosyalleşebileceği özel alanlar olduğunu söylüyor ve ekliyor: "Köpekle uzun saatler geçirirken açlığınızı da deniz kenarındaki Romantika'nın bahçesinde giderebilirsiniz." Diğer jürimiz Çağla Kubat köpeği Barbie'yle birlikte sık sık Fenerbahçe Parkı'na gittiklerini söylerken, Esrin Keşçi de bu parkın köpekler ve sahipleri için bulunmaz bir yer olduğunu belirtiyor: "İstanbul'da köpeğinizle gidip rahat edebileceğiniz ne yazık ki çok yer yok. Ama Fenerbahçe Parkı bu konuda mükemmel. Özellikle hafta sonları köpek sahipleri burada buluşup saatlerce eğlenceli vakit geçiriyor." Beşiktaş'la Ortaköy arasında geniş bir alana yayılan bol yeşilin yer aldığı Yıldız Parkı ise merkezi konumuyla ilgi çekiyor. ve yüzyıllarda yapılmış Malta ve Çadır Köşklerinin de bulunduğu parkta, yiyecek içecek konusunda da alternatif çok. A classic family-owned restaurant, Havan’dan serves up delicious olive-oil dishes and meat-based main courses, but what really stole the show for us were the desserts, like the surprisingly light pumpkin pie. It’s no surprise that desserts are the only items permanently on the menu, which means you’ll get to try the cinnamon roll and white-chocolate brownie any time you visit Havan’dan. On Saturdays, the restaurant serves rib burgers: the beef ribs are rested in a spice rub for three days, then slow-cooked for seven hours before the fat is removed and the ribs are served with caramelized onions between homemade buns.

Sakıp Sabancı Museum
Set in the palatial Bosphorus mansion and former home of the late business tycoon Sakıp Sabancı, the Sakıp Sabancı Museum is one of the major privately owned museums in the country and has hosted some of the biggest exhibitions in Istanbul, including blockbuster shows by the likes of Monet, Rembrandt, Picasso, Dali, Anish Kapoor and Ai Weiwei. The museum's permanent collection houses works of calligraphy and illuminated books, including official Ottoman documents bearing the sultans’ imperial ciphers and calligraphic compositions from the 14th century up to the present. Rumelihisarı Museum
Built in the 15th century on the orders of Sultan Mehmed II, Rumelihisari is a medieval fortress situated along the narrowest point of the strait. Aligned with its older counterpart Anadolu Hisarı on the opposite shore, the Rumelihisarı fortress helped bring about the Ottoman capture of Constantinople by thwarting naval traffic along the Bosphorus and cutting off outside help to the besieged Byzantines. Following the Ottoman conquest, Rumelihisarı was used as a customs checkpoint and a prison where the embassies of states at war with the Ottomans were held captive. Today, Rumelihisarı serves as a museum and an occasional open-air venue for concerts. Visitors can explore the many towers of the fortress and enjoy a spectacular view of the Bosphorus and the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge.
