I love the idea of Charlie & Robin&#;s A Cappella Sweater ($). It seems to be one part cable sweater, one part Charlie Brown and one part textured wool. When I first saw it I thought it would make my waist look tiny.


Which it did, but unfortunately that seemed to leave the rest of me out of proportion. I think if my chest were a bit smaller this sweater would be perfect. I had sized down one to a small because Charlie & Robin seems to run large. The medium was looser all over but still created the Barbie waist effect. This sweater would be great for someone looking to create more of a waist.

When the Sweeping Frills Sweater ($) by Guinevere first appeared on the website I was in love. More like a crush maybe because though I knew I could never have this sweater I still wanted it.


My apprehension was with the braid that curves around the torso. I feared it would make me look wide. In real life it wasn&#;t too bad in my true size medium. Instead my main issue was that it&#;s very short! My sister was back in town this weekend and she also tried on the sweater. She&#;s about 5&#;4&#; and she also found the sweater too short! When I stood up straight there was almost an inch gap between the bottom of the sweater and my hips. On my sis it wasn&#;t too bad and she ended up buying this in a small, planning to wear a cami underneath. For me this was a total no-go. See it on Kim here.

What a pretty, pretty top with a super low v-neck. It&#;s Weston Wear&#;s Midnight Blues V-Neck ($88). The waist cinch is actually an attached sash that ties in back. Very pretty touch.


I tried on my true size medium and it was fabulous but totally rackilicious. Too bad, because the jersey would be great for casual events but it&#;s so revealing that I would only wear this too the club. I could wear a cami underneath but it would totally interrupt the shape of the shirt. So not for me, but still highly recommended!

Velvet takes care of the necklace for us with their Palesa Blouse ($98). I am a sucker for jacquard and even though Anthropologie labels this as navy on their website my vote is that it&#;s purple. A lovely, rich purple.


Once again I reached for my true size medium but this time it was a little big. The banded hem is great for setting this shirt in different hip slots to create as much flow as you want. The beading seemed very well done and is a beautiful complement to the rest of the top. This one got a big thumbs up in the dressing room. I didn&#;t buy it yet but it&#;s been added to the wishlist for sure.

One last top I wanted to mention is Bailey 44&#;s Secret Sparkle Cowlneck ($). My sister tried this on in her true size small and looked FANTASTIC. I know the dressform shot makes it look like this top will accent your hips. In real life the ruching hid what it needed to and showed off all the right stuff. I will be heading back to Anthro to try it on myself this week. I realize the price point is high but ladies if you&#;re looking for a bit of a splurge this is it. This is sitting in my cart in my true size medium ready to be part of my next order.

Creating variety in your diet to get more nutrients and to avoid adverse effects of over-dieting, and orthorexia, or obsession with &#;clean&#; food. Lot of bodybuilders and &#;fit&#; people have been brainwashed by coaches who tell them that the only &#;clean food&#; in this world are fish, rice, eggs, oats, sweet potatoes and asparagus/broccoli. And the other extremists are vegans who believe anything animal is unhealthy&#; which in my opinion is also orthorexia. I am not a doctor but it is COMMON SENSE using my science background and having had worked with registered dietitians that variety is key to having a balanced diet for overall health clinically (blood test shows nutrient deficiency), mentally and emotionally.

Don’t have to eat plain (the boring ONLY foods your bro science coach gives you to be a bodybuilder.. unless of course you’re super close to a contest,then you gotta stick to only what your body is familiar with and easier to measure/track!!!

A silly question to ask is: “Can I substitute rice with rice noodle ?&#; Think about the ingredient. It’s the SAME thing .. just read the label and .. match the portion to your plan !!!
BUT not every meal because I need the fiber and micronutrients (vitamins/minerals etc) from fresh sweet potatoes 🍠 which may or may not be in the noodle form.

In a typical bodybuilding plan, a physique coach (who isn&#;t considering your health) usually puts only fish or chicken, rice, eggs and one or two types of veggies like broccoli or asparagus. A plan like that is easy to track and follow because of its simplicity. However, it does NOT address nutritional requirements of an individual and can cause physical, social and emotional issues&#; sometimes even leading to orthorexia or some type of eating disorder (over restricted then binging, obsessing over food, or being afraid to eat, OVER dieting chronically all year long etc chasing the shreds at the cost of health eunic-brussels.eual, mental, and emotional).

As a result, I highly recommend (and I am pretty sure my registered dietician mentors will agree as well) adding variety instead of JUST relying on a cheat meal (that most bodybuilding coaches prescribe weekly for diet break). It&#;s as simple as swapping foods with similar macros. Now, it&#;s a lot of extra work on the coach, especially if they aren&#;t good at the basic math or don&#;t want to invest the eunic-brussels.eu will avoid adding variety at any cost. It&#;s just EASIER to monitor and manipulate a plan that is simple. The extra work may seem daunting to many but empowering clients with education is a great investment for clients and the coach. I teach my clients about macros, food swapping and pros and cons of certain choices (fortunately, I have good memory and I can perform basic mental math quick enough to plan a program with variety of foods eunic-brussels.eu if a coach can&#;t there are apps and Google they can use to look up nutrition facts).

Having variety in diet ensures :
✅ getting macro nutrients and minerals
✅ natural probiotics (yogurt, miso, kimchi, ginger etc)
✅ avoid orthorexia (obsession over “clean” eating which is not scientific)
✅ reduce the risk of developing eating disorder (lots of bodybuilders begin binging and losing their fitness after a contest prep and give up.. let go etc or they become chronic dieters )
✅ mental health/some social life

Cons of Swapping too Much

  • new substitute food item may have allergens you didn&#;t know about
  • your digestive system may react weird to new food (especially new spices etc
  • it&#;s easy to lose track of the portion since you&#;re not used to eating it regularly
  • introducing too many new things to the body can be confusing and you wouldn&#;t know which one caused the reaction
  • if it&#;s packaged or pre-made it may have too much salt or preservatives, etc
  • easy to get carried away

If you’re going to swap, PLEASE read ingredients and nutrition facts labels to match your plan. Watch out for too much additives/preservatives.

„Dej tam víc třísek. Ty noviny víc zmuchlej. My tam občas foukáme, to pomáhá.“ Poprvé zatápím v kamnech a asistuje mi hned několik lidí. Každý má trochu jiný postup a ten jeho je nejlepší. Do toho mě za rukáv tahají děti. Chaos! Jsem z nich nervózní a posílám je pryč. V kamnech hoří. Hurá! Prvotní úspěch.

Mám z kamen respekt. Trnu, abych včas přiložila, aby se děti nespálily, abych se nespálila já a aby ti moji žrouti měli vůbec co jíst, protože kamna jsou jediným sporákem v chalupě. Tohle bylo měsíc zpět. Teď už mi nikdo neradí.

Studánka v chalupě

„Až půjdeš do studánky, skloň hlavu. Jak pršelo, vylezli slimáci a budeš je mít přímo nad hlavou,“ upozorňuje mě manžel. Brrr! Jestli něco nesnáším, tak slimáky! Studánka je zvláštní místo v chalupě. Kamenná klenba zasazená do svahu, pod kterou je studánka. V dobách stavby chalupy mělo toto místo dvě funkce &#; regulace vlhkosti a zdroj vody. Pro nás funguje jako sklad potravin a lednice, která v chalupě zatím není.

Slimáků mi nad hlavou visí několik, díky světlu v temné místnosti je i zřetelně vidím. Přeju si jen, aby mi nespadl některý z těch slizounů za krk. Prší několik dní v kuse, a tak slimáky máme i všude kolem.

Pivo na slimáka

„Mamka je utopí v pivu,“ radí Martin. „V pivu?“ divím se. Odpoledne sousedka rozvíjí pivní fintu na slimáky: „To vezmete petku, uřežete půlku a zahrabete na úrovni země. Nalijete pivo a do rána jich tam máte utopených tak “ Uf! Vidím to hned v obraze a ten obraz se mi hnusí. Sousedka vyhodnotila můj zkřivený obličej a k mé drobné radosti pokračuje jinou alternativou: „Ale já ho nejčastěji přeříznu vejpůl a on do rána zmizí. Taky si na ně nehodlám zvyknout. Žerou mi kytky!&#; Nejsem si úplně jistá, jak se tvářím teď, ale o nic lepší to nebude. V té chvíli přichází soused a rázně sděluje: „Já je propíchnu a je klid. Jsou přemnožený. Vyhodit je pryč ničemu nepomůže.“ Děkuju všem za rady. Odcházím s myšlenkou, že operace slimák bude moje achillova pata.

Kolega pavouk

„Káji,“ běžím za manželem a sotva popadám dech, „skočil mi obrovskej pavouk &#; tlustej jako prase- přímo na čelo!&#; Vymetala jsem stodolu a jeden křivák mi opravdu skočil témeř do tváře. Od manžela jsem čekala minimálně medaily, protože jsem ani nepípla. Pavouků se nebojím, ale ráda je nemám. Pokud se nějaký větší zatoulal do našeho bytu, volala jsem manžela. V chalupě je jich jasná převaha. Pavučiny &#; vymetené týdny dozadu &#; jsou zpět. Rozhodla jsem se na tyto 8nohé tvory dívat trochu jinak.

Tom a Jerry

„A když najdu myš v ložnici, tak co mám dělat? Honit ji s koštětem? Majznout ji po hlavě?&#; chrlím dotazy na manžela. &#;Nic. Stejně ji nechytneš,&#; odpovídá s klidem. V mé hlavě zní magické slovo &#; kočka. Sousedovic Mikeška mi ukázala, že si s myší výborně poradí. Jednu bez hlavy už přinesla před dveře chalupy. Tak na ni budu spoléhat dál.

Premiéra motorové pily

„Slib mi, že mi zůstanou obě ruce celé,“ říkám úzkostně manželovi. Ten bere novou motorovou pilu opět do rukou. „Věřím ti! Ale mám z toho respekt,“ dodávám. Manžel mi následně pevným hlasem slibuje, že mi nic neuřízne. A jedeme dál. Když jsme začali řezat, sepnul adrenalin a mě ani nanepadlo bát se o prsty. Pak se pila párkrát sekla a manžel mi posunul ruce dál. Adrenalin vystřídal pud sebezáchovy. Od pily jde teplo. Všude létají piliny. I do očí.

Vystoupit ze své komfortní zóny je pro mě adrenalinem a jistou formou sebepoznávání. I tak vím, že některé věci pro mě budou tvrdším oříškem jak jiné.
